Hello Everyone!
From now on, this is the way I will get information to you regarding Project Graduation. Hopefully, I will remember to update it promptly! We have had our first meeting and committee members are in the process of sending letters or contacting parents by telephone to talk about Project Graduation and donations for the Auction. The Silent Auction is our biggest fundraiser and lately our biggest problem has been poor attendance. It is so important that parents come to the Auction and bid on items. Parents are very generous with donations, but we need people at the event to bid on them! The bidding is only from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., then we tally and you leave with an armful of Christmas presents!!! Please support this very worthwhile event!! I can count on my fingers how many students will not attend the party after their graduation - our attendance rate is almost perfect!!
Our next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, October 6th, at 6:30 p.m. (immediately following the Booster Club meeting) in the House II Commons. We will be talking about our list of donations, refreshments, workers for the Auction, etc. If you are unable to attend the meeting, but are interested in being a part of the Project Graduation Committee or if you have a donation and you don't know how to get it to us, please call me at 860-379-7132 or e-mail me at dwilliams@nwr7.org.
