Days Absent:
If a student misses class it is that students responsibility to get the notes, make-up the work and see the teacher after school with any questions. Every day math class is missed, the student misses an opportunity to understand and reinforce a concept. Attendance is vital.
Extra Points:
Students are given the opportunity to increase their grades on a test before the next test is given. Check your overview for the opportunities. If a student is not doing their homework this could be denied. The days I am here are listed on the board. If a student is asked to stay for detention ( for behavior or to make up work) points will not be earned.
Students can come for extra points after school on tests and quizes greater than 25 points if they have fulfilled the following stipulations; 1. They have done at least 75% of the homework checked from this section. 2. They have completed a study guide as described in the overview. 3. They get a grade lower than 75% on the test. Each time they come after school they can get up to 5 points added to their test up to 10 points or up to a 75% which ever comes first. Students must be in the room by 2:10 and sign the sign out sheet at 3:00 to get their points. The test corrections must be done before coming for points. Students must work on subject matter related to the topics on the test during the after school time. They must come with their test , study guide and test corrections as well as their book and notebook. Points days are offered on Mondays and Thursdays. Tuesdays and Fridays are for extra help only.
