Academic Support: 
Individualized support is available with Mrs. Griffin during Period 6.
Students are expected to sign out of their study hall or commons and come to room 7.
Students are expected to bring all books and materials they will be working with.
Students are expected to work quietly and respect the time and space of others.
Students may stay for the entire period or return to study hall with a pass.
Some Opportunities Available During Academic Support:
- check grades on Powerschool
- list any missing assignments
- complete and hand in any missing assignments
- organize and upkeep Homework Assignment Pad (Agenda)
- organize notebooks from each content subject area
- reread class notes from the previous day
- reread chapters you are working on, and take notes
- copy or type your notes as a way to review or make them neater
- Use a graphic organizer to visually set up class/book notes
- Use Smart Art (Microsoft Word) to visually set up class/book notes
- create study guides
- make flash cards with vocabulary words and definitions
- make flash cards with study questions and answers
- answer questions printed in textbooks to review chapters
- organize notebooks by categories
- make plans to meet with teachers for extra help, etc. if necessary
- make plans to create a study group with peers if necessary
- read a novel that is associated with a content area topic (i.e historical fiction, science fiction, etc. )
- and any other request you might have to assist you throughout your school day!!
